The Corowa Region

Corowa is located in Southern New South Wales in the beautiful Riverina Region. Just 300 kilometres north of Melbourne, 600 kilometres south of Sydney and 60 kilometres west of Albury with a population of 5200 people.

Corowa has several major industries including QAF Meat Industries (the largest pork production facility in the southern hemisphere), Uncle Toby’s Breakfast Cereal and Headerworld who distribute new and used header parts worldwide.

The town is central to many and varied historic areas of  North East Victoria and Southern NSW. Corowa and surrounding areas have a host of events annually such as the Federation Festival, Rutherglen Winery Walkabout and much more. Please refer to our Calendar for details.

Within a 20 kilometre radius of Corowa are the world famous and highly awarded Rutherglen Wineries. Boasting 19 wineries and restaurants, you can taste some of the best wines and food available. See our reception desk to arrange tours.

Many other attractions and activities are in the immediate region. You can visit countless Museums in Corowa, Rutherglen, Jindera and more. Nearby Lake Mulwala offers fishing, water skiing and parasailing. Corowa is steeped in history and is known as “The Birth Place Of Federation”. Some of the buildings have been magnificently restored to that period.
